Lead generation that’s actually working right now

Before you launch anything, you need this.

Whether you're relaunching a program, opening a new coaching offer, or finally putting that course out into the world, the success of that launch has a lot to do with what you did before you ever opened the cart.

Basically, you need a warm audience (or a really large volume of cold leads, but the warm audience is definitely easier). Building that audience takes intentional lead generation as in not just hoping the right people are watching.

I get to see behind the scenes of a dozen or so businesses each month  - many of which are in “launch mode” seasonally. Here's what I've been seeing actually work right now:

Live workshops and Q&As

There's something that happens when you show up live that no email sequence or static freebie can replicate. People feel the connection. They see how you think, how you teach, how you show up for them before they've ever paid you a thing.

A live workshop, one where you're genuinely teaching, guiding, and providing real value, does two things at once: it builds your list and it warms the people already on it.

A live Q&A does the same. Show your face, let people ask questions in the chat, just be present. That kind of connection moves people from "I follow her" to "I trust her" faster than almost anything else.

If you're planning a launch in the next 60–90 days, I'd be looking at getting at least one of these on the calendar now.

Lead magnets… but only if you actually talk about them

Quizzes, checklists, guides. These do still work. But here's where I see people leave a lot on the table: they create the freebie, post about it once or twice, and move on.

Sorry, but that’s not going to move the needle at all. The reality is, you need to be talking about your lead magnet way more than feels comfortable. Post about it on Instagram. Connect your stories back to it. Mention it in emails. Bring it up on podcasts. Make it feel like it's everywhere. Because for the people who need it, it needs to find them.

Think of your lead magnet less like a one-time post and more like an ongoing invitation.

A small ad budget goes further than you think

This one's been personally helpful for me. If you want to get your free event or lead magnet in front of your ideal audience, beyond just your current followers, even $5 a day in ads can move the needle. It doesn't have to be a big production. A simple ad driving traffic to your freebie puts you in front of people who don't know you yet.

One thing to keep in mind: a cold audience takes longer to convert. Someone who found you through an ad needs more time and more touchpoints before they're ready to buy. So start this one early, and pair it with the live connection strategies above for the best results.

The take away here? Warmth takes time.

The coaches and therapists I see have the smoothest launches aren't just thinking about lead gen the week before they are putting an offer out into the world. They're building that audience consistently.

If you're prepping for a launch and want help thinking through the operational side of setting this all up (the systems, the sequences, the moving pieces) that's exactly what we do! And I would love to connect with you further - simply book some time to connect here
